Social Events

Opportunities to meet socially provide important support in our practice. Social connections are the glue that holds a group together and give us strength to keep practicing. Newcomers to our meetings are often looking to be part of a community and we would like you to feel welcome. Informal gatherings give us the chance to have fun with our dhamma friends and expand our network of relationships.

Friendly Reminder ….

The next OBS social is planned for Sunday Nov. 12 from  2-5 pm. It will be held at the home of Rose and Jack’s at 779 Weston Drive.  All are invited and please remember to bring a sweet or savory food item to share and your own mug. We hope to see you there ~ Contact Ann Waters if you have any questions

Other OBS socials include: volunteering at  a soup kitchen, pot-lucks, hikes and picnics which are held periodically throughout the year. These events are always listed in the OBS Activity Calendar.

We also meet up for an informal gathering before each Friday Quaker House meditation — at the Wild Oat Bakery, 817 Bank Street. Ottawa at 6:30 pm. All are welcome.
